Wie op zoek is naar inspiratie voor een paar spannende avonturen: koop Do not disturb. Maar kijk niet naar de boektrailer.
Het heeft natuurlijk voor het grootste deel met de anonimiteit te maken, de reden waarom hotelseks zo onweerstaanbaar spannend is. De lobby binnenlopen, een kamer boeken en voelen dat de receptionist je plannetje doorheeft zonder dat hij er ook maar iets van zegt is al bijna de helft van het voorspel. Een hele nacht in een luxe hotel als het Hilton bijvoorbeeld, maakt het een nog groter avontuur, maar een uurtje in een eenvoudige kamer langs de snelweg is net zo opwindend.
Wie wel eens wil weten hoe die hotelseks kan verlopen kan nu het boek Do Not Disturb over de meest uiteenlopende seksuele escapades in verschillende hotels kopen. Met een belangrijke tip: kijk niet naar de trailer van het boek. Die is een absolute afrader als je zin hebt je te laten warmlopen. Het filmpje is gemaakt door de schrijfster zelf, een Newyorkse sexblogger, en deed me denken aan de Sexbloggerskalender 2009 waarvoor twaalf Amerikaanse sexbloggers zelf poseerden. Als je hun sexblogs leest zijn ze spannend en mysterieus, maar zodra je de foto’s van de maaksters ziet is de magie in één klap verbroken.
